Gelia — a top 10 B2B marketing communications agency in the US with offices in Buffalo, NY, Raleigh, NC, and Peoria, IL — is seeking qualified candidates for Associate Director, Paid Media. This position will have responsibility for leading the development, activation and optimization of integrated, multi-media campaigns using consumer data, market intelligence, and campaign analytics.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of cross-channel subject matter experts providing guidance and growth opportunities.
- Oversee the development and execution of integrated, multi-media campaigns.
- Comprehensive understanding of the campaign brief and translating it into prioritized media objectives and KPIs.
- Leverage data and insights to inform strategies that drive maximum results.
- Collaborate with internal teams (media, creative, development, project management, analytics) to ensure seamless campaign launches, from planning through execution and reporting.
- Closely monitor campaigns, optimize results and ensure KPIs are being achieved within budget.
- Provide detailed performance analysis, deep insights, data-driven recommendations and succinct, clearly communicated presentations to internal and client teams.
- Drive cross-channel best practices and act as an educational resource by continually staying informed on innovation and industry trends.
- Ensure established processes are being followed and all deliverables are completed on time, evaluate current process for both effectiveness and efficiency, and develop ongoing process improvements.
- Promotes and embraces a positive working relationship within the department, cross-functionally within the agency, with our clients and with media vendors, driving strong collaboration and partnership.
- Develops people within the team by coaching, identifying areas for growth, celebrating successes, managing review process and identifying/facilitating training opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Deep background in analyzing media research/consumer data, planning cross-channel campaigns (spanning traditional and digital channels,) and optimizing performance.
- Significant traditional and online media planning and negotiation experience, across local (multi-market), regional and national footprints.

- 8+ years in roles of increasing responsibility in departments of a similar nature (e.g., ad agency media department, media company, or client-side media team).
- Strong management skills and experience leading high-performing teams.
- Embraces an audience first, solution-neutral approach to create integrated communication plans that deliver against campaign objectives/KPIs.
- Experience managing media budgets, billing reconciliation, and collaborating with an accounting team.
- Proven ability to work in tandem with an analytics team/dashboard platform to develop actionable insights and optimization recommendations.
- Fosters innovative solutions and keeps abreast of current trends and the latest media/martech advances.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with Advantage, Strata, GfK MRI, Comscore, Kantar, Nielsen, SQAD, Scarborough and other relevant media planning/buying software.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
