Creating Animated Videos to Keep Kids Healthy
As part of the Independent Health Foundation’s “Healthy Options at Home” initiative, Gelia brought a little animation—and a lot of heart—to healthy eating through a series of fun and educational videos for kids. The series was designed to make nutrition simple, relatable, and most importantly, accessible. From “Building My Plate” to “Food Danger Zones,” each video was crafted with kindergartners through 5th graders in mind. While the lessons were lighthearted, the mission was serious: help families build healthy habits that last a lifetime.
The videos were shared on YouTube, the Foundation’s website, through family newsletters, and via the Remind app—all to reach parents where they already are. Available in both English and Spanish versions, the series is making healthy choices feel doable and fun.
